This suite of 3 spreadsheets allows the designer to undertake the structural design and analysis of a dowelled joint in a concrete pavement.
Separate spreadsheets are included for the design of the steel dowels, calculating the maximum recommended joint spacings and calculating the maximum joint opening due to temperature effects.
Each spreadsheet includes unique features to analyse the effects of different dowel types, dowel spacings, pavement thicknesses and joint spacings. Used together they allow the designer to quickly specify a fully considered dowelled joint design to suit any pavement thickness or loading conditions.
The suite includes a total of 3 spreadsheets;
- A spreadsheet allowing the user to design the steel required in a dowelled joint for user defined pavement slab and loading conditions.
- A spreadsheet advising of the maximum recommended joint spacing for a user defined pavement slab.
- A spreadsheet calculating the maximum joint opening to be expected due to contraction for a user defined pavement slab.
